The vesak festival is a very impotent buddhist festival. This festival commemorates the birth, enlightenment and passing away of Gauthama buddha. This is a festival held in the month of vesak wich is may. This festival is a religious and cultural festival. This celebration is religious and charitable activities. Cites are decorated with lights. Dansals are held in front of homes and in cities. Pantheons are built in cities. It contains buddhist stories. Decorated lamps in homes are lit. The lights on both sides of the roads illuminate the cities. They remind us of the virtues of the buddha, dhamma and sangha. Buddhist visit temple on vesak day in the morning. Some people observe the precepts. Some people give alms. Flowers, lamps, incense and incense sticks are offered to the buddha. 

Two days to celebrate vesak day in sri lanka. Those two days are sacred in sri lanka buddhists in sri lanka also uphold the precepts. Celebrating vesak promotes unity, coexistence, morality and humanity among people. The purpose of this festival is to follow the dhamma preached by the buddha and the path shown.

My little village

 My little village   My small village is in a beautiful place in sri lanka. It is located in Yatiyanthota town, Kegalle district, Sabaragamuwa province. My village is small and beautifull. It is surrounded by green forests and mountain ranges, as well as babbling rivers. The sound of birdsong and the fresh breezo in the morning enhance the beauty of the village. It was named Denawakawaththa based on its natural beauty. That is caused by the sound of a deer.  The people in the village are very friendly and kind. They live in harmony, helping each other. The village school, temple and small market are important place in village life I am extremely proud of my small village. Because i was the only male student from my village school who was selected for university. It is a source of pride for the village and for me. My heart is my little village. My small village is a place that brings me eternal memories. I love my village.

I am a little cook

  I am a little cook  Cooking is my favorite hobbies. I like to made my mother cook. Ever since i was little, i've loved going in to the kitchen with my mother when she was cooking. That time was a very lovely hour. Cooking is an activity that brings me joy. I like to try new recipes. Sometimes i look up recipes on the internet and try making them. Among them, i especially like to make things like cakes, buns and curries. These photo show the dishes. My family also really like to taste my food. They praise me. It brings me great joy. Also, cooking is the best hobby that brings me joy and creativity. One day in the future i will become a good cook. That is my dream.  I am a little cook for now.
